VTech Electronics North America, LLC is based in Arlington Heights, IL. Position Description: This position is responsible for overseeing all day to day accounting activities of Electronic Learning Product Division. Position is also responsible to select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the accounting department and must work well with colleagues overseas (Hong Kong). Essential Responsibilities: • Prepare financial statements, forecasts & variance analysis, providing accurate and timely information to Hong Kong and the Leadership team. • Manage monthly & annual financial close for three entities (US, Mexico & Puerto Rico). • Successfully manage a highly professional Accounting team. • Manage sales and use tax reporting activities. • Manage audit activities for (US, Mexico & Puerto Rico) entities. • Monitor established internal control and procedures to ensure full compliance • Ongoing management of budgets and schedules to meet corporate requirements. Position Qualifications: • Full knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers (including colleagues in HK), management, subordinates and others. • Detailed oriented with strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills. • Demonstrated advanced Microsoft Office skills, primarily Excel. • Knowledge of Oracle is strongly desired. • Proven ability to solve problems and find solutions that balance cross-functional concerns. • Keep abreast of current accounting principles and methods as well as government. reporting requirements as they relate to the organization. • High motivation and professional ethical standards. • Commitment to mentoring, training, and retaining a diverse team; the foresight and ability to delegate accordingly. • Successful candidate must be deadline driven and work well under pressure. • Minimum of Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, Masters Degree is strongly preferred. • Must have CPA certification. • Ten years of experience in senior-level finance or accounting position in Consumer Product Goods industry.
